Stirling Corkscrew Evasion

This magnificent large scale drawing depicts the very start of a violent corkscrew action; the corkscrew was devised to throw off incoming night fighters attacking from the rear. The aircraft has started its dive, building up speed; the drawing captures the moment just before full right rudder is applied. This will slew the aircraft violently to the right in a desperate attempt to evade the incoming fighter.
